During the altercation, the victim sustained multiple stab wounds. He managed to re-enter the vehicle through the passenger side, and one of the suspects forced his way inside the cabin. The second suspect remained outside.

Constable Langa stated that the driver locked the doors and continued struggling with the suspect inside the vehicle. During the confrontation, the victim allegedly disarmed the suspect and stabbed him. The second suspect fled the scene on foot.
