Newcastle Business Sector Survey

PAID SURVEY: Newcastle Municipality

Newcastle Municipality is calling on local businesses, informal traders, self-employed professionals, managers and authorised business representatives to participate in the Newcastle Business Sector Survey, a new information-gathering initiative aimed at better understanding the needs, challenges and opportunities within the local economy.

The survey is being administered by Newcastillian News, operated by Pixelfish Marketing Solutions (Pty) Ltd, on behalf of Newcastle Municipality.

The information submitted will be shared with the municipality to assist with planning, economic development, business-sector engagement, service delivery alignment, infrastructure concerns and future business support initiatives.

For business owners and operators across Newcastle, this survey creates a direct opportunity to provide practical input on the conditions affecting their daily operations.

This includes the issues that limit growth, the municipal services that impact business activity, and the areas where improved engagement between the municipality and the business sector could make a measurable difference.

The municipality has emphasised that the survey is voluntary.

Contact details will only be used where a respondent chooses to provide them and agrees to further engagement.

The survey is open to a wide range of participants, including formal businesses, informal traders, self-employed individuals, business managers and authorised representatives.

This broad approach is intended to ensure that the municipality receives feedback from different parts of Newcastle’s economy, from established companies to smaller operators and independent entrepreneurs.

By participating, local businesses can help build a clearer picture of the local business environment, including operational challenges, service delivery concerns, infrastructure needs and opportunities for future development.

The data gathered will assist Newcastle Municipality in identifying where support, communication and planning can be better aligned with the realities faced by the business community.

Businesses that want to contribute to this process are encouraged to complete the survey and provide honest, practical feedback.
