Traffic on the N11 through Amajuba Pass ground to a virtual standstill in the aftermath of a truck collision.
The incident, which took place just after 8 am, involved two large trucks, leaving one overturned and the other allegedly sliding back into the wreckage after being affected by a diesel spill from the first vehicle.
While the exact details of the crash remain shrouded in mystery, Road Angels South Africa suggested that powerful gusts of wind and high speed may have played a role, though an investigation is underway.
It should be highlighted, that the South African Weather Service issued a Level 2 warning for damaging winds earlier this morning. As per the weather service, the damaging winds are expected to impact traffic as a result of crosswinds.

In the wake of the crash, emergency personnel were dispatched to the scene, tasked with ensuring the safety of the truck drivers and clearing the road to prevent further accidents.
However, the situation took a shocking turn as people descended on the crash site, looting the overturned trucks without a shred of concern for the potentially injured drivers or the emergency teams working tirelessly to manage the chaos.
The looting frenzy grew so intense that the South African Police Services (SAPS) had to be called in to secure the scene, ensuring the safety of everyone present. Furthermore, Charles Steyn of Magenta Emergency Medical Services confirmed, with a sigh of relief, that no injuries were reported from the crash itself.
Once the police secured the area, emergency crews began the daunting task of clearing the wreckage and addressing the hazardous diesel spill. Yet, Road Angels South Africa cautioned that the cleanup would be a lengthy process, urging motorists to exercise extreme caution while travelling through the Amajuba Pass along the N11. Although traffic has resumed, the flow remains sluggish, and the road’s safety is yet to be fully restored.

Of course the ‘looters’ wouldn’t care about the well being of the drivers as they have no sympathy for the drivers all they see is ‘free things’ although the don’t realize they actually stealing which makes them criminals. Although they don’t believe that is what they are classed as.
