Six injured in head-on collision outside of Vryheid

Six people were injured during a head-on collision on Sunday morning, 17 April 2022, on the R69 near Shoba, outside of Vryheid.

KwaZulu Private Ambulance’s Craig Botha gives us the rundown. “When emergency services arrived, they found that two vehicles had been involved in a head-on collision.”

According to Botha, after assessing the scene, paramedics found two patients had sustained serious injuries, while four had sustained minor injuries.

“The patients were treated on scene before being transported to hospital for further treatment,” he said.

While the exact cause of the collision is unclear, police investigations are underway. Motorists are also encouraged to practice caution while travelling in wet weather conditions.
