A missing Newcastle girl, aged 13, has been unaccounted for since the beginning of February 2026, prompting an urgent appeal from both police and her family.
The 13-year-old Newcastle girl was last seen at her home in Charlestown, and as several weeks have now passed without any contact or confirmed sighting, concern for her safety continues to grow. Law enforcement and relatives are urging the Newcastle community to come forward with any information that could assist in locating her and ensuring her safe return.
Providing further detail on the disappearance, Belinda Ellor of the Newcastle Community Policing Forum (CPF) explained that the teenager went missing from her residence on OppieKoppie Farm in Charlestown, Newcastle.
While the precise timing of her departure remains unclear, she was reportedly seen during the early hours of Saturday morning. Consequently, her family filed an official missing persons report on Sunday, 1 February 2026, after she failed to return and all attempts to establish contact proved unsuccessful.
In light of the ongoing and intensive search by authorities and her relatives, the Newcastle CPF has released a description of her last known attire to aid identification. The 13-year-old girl was last seen wearing a long black skirt, a maroon hoody, and black flops.
Because there has been no communication from the teenager since she was last seen a month ago, the Newcastle CPF is urging anyone with information to come forward immediately.
