UPDATED: An eyewitness at the scene reported that the driver of a VW Polo was travelling down Harding Street, crossing the intersection, while the VW Golf was turning right into Ayliff Street when the incident occurred.

While the exact details of who was actually at fault are still to be established, the impact of the collision propelled the VW Polo across the road, eventually coming to a stop outside a local business at the intersection, with the car partially on the sidewalk. Remarkably, despite the severity of the crash, no injuries were reported.

The incident has now initiated a thorough investigation by law enforcement, but an official police source pointed out the traffic light had changed to orange for both vehicles when the crash transpired.

Furthermore, motorists are urged to practice caution and adhere to the rules of the road.
