Patient dies in Ambulance collision just outside Newcastle

The relief of knowing you are now safe and are in the hands of paramedics on route to a health care facility, came to an abrupt end for a patient in the back of an ambulance on Tuesday, 10 November 2020.

This follows an incident whereby one person died, and three others sustained moderate injuries when the ambulance they were travelling in, crashed on the N11, just outside of Newcastle, KwaZulu Natal.

According to WATCO Emergency Services, attempts to revive the patient who was on board the ambulance at the time of the incident proved unsuccessful, with him being declared deceased on the scene. The emergency services state, “The two ambulance attendants sustained moderate injuries, as well as the patient escort.”

With the cause of the accident unknown at present investigations by the authorities, will get underway.

  1. That person wasn’t supposed to be saved it was his/her day, what is bad is that someone was driving the ambulance.
