As the proprietor of NL Cars, Nicolas began his career in the motor industry 13 years ago.

“From April 2006, I worked for three years at Menmat Delta as a G2 Team Leader (Pre-Owned side) and a further seven years at Stucky Motors as a Sales Executives first, then as a Sales Manager (New & Pre-Owned).” 

It was in March 2017, that Nicolas started on his own as a wholesaler, which saw the birth of NL Cars. 

“I was buying vehicles from dealers and private individuals and reselling them to other dealerships outside town. While doing this, I parked two vehicles for retail in front of KwikFit Fitment Centre on Ayliff Street. The owner was kind to help me.”

Since then, NL Cars has grown from strength to strength. 

Taking immense pride in his dealership and the cars which he sells, Nicolas explains, “Before you take delivery, we ensure the vehicle has had a complete service (air filter, oil filter, fuel filter and oil change), brakes and suspension check, and new tyres and battery are fitted.”

Nicolas adds the vehicle will also have a certificate to show it has passed the roadworthy test.

With a great sense of pride in his work, providing the community with top-notch vehicles, what drives Nicolas at his dealership, NL Cars?

“The motor industry has been a passion of mine for many years. I’ve always been passionate about cars, since a young age, but I didn’t think I would pursue a career with cars.”

Passionate about everything pertaining to cars, this is not the only thing which drives Nicolas.

“I love the buzz of the sale process. I get excited when demonstrating a vehicle to a potential customer. But as I need to believe in my product to be able to sell it, I always insist on dealing with quality used vehicles.”

Furthermore, Nicolas says, “The main aim for me, is to be able to provide for my family.”

Why does Nicolas put immense emphasis on quality?

“I want to build a loyal customer base and see NL Cars as a reputable brand in the used vehicle segment in Newcastle,” he says.

Therefore, Nicolas spends a substantial amount of money on each car, ensuring there is nothing wrong with it. This is because Nicolas believes every used car sold, is someone else’s new car and they should have the experience of driving a vehicle which feels like new.

“The possibility of having a comeback is always there, but we at NL Cars do our best to avoid a comeback with all the precautions taken.”

“We have a fully equipped RMI and AA approved workshop, with all the necessary tools needed to work on most of our vehicles which are out of warranty. We also offer finance for all our vehicles with every single bank,” adds Nicolas.
