When it comes to pursuing a healthy lifestyle, a person tends to focus on their physical well-being.
However, how often do you focus on your mental health? When is the last time you took a step back, letting your emotions run free?
October is Mental Health Awareness Month. With negative misconception often associated with mental health, this month focuses on not only educating people on mental health but also reducing the stigma and discrimination that people with mental health issue often have to endure.
October 10 is also classified as World Mental Health Day, which also pertains to promoting awareness of mental health.
Mediclinic Newcastle Kintsugi Wellness Centre will host a 4.5km Emoji Fun Run/Walk come October 13.

This initiative will focus on showing its support for the mental health awareness month, as well as getting the community to show their support as well.
Furthermore, the day will also introduce the community to the Kintsugi Wellness Centre, a safe place where people can go to address certain issues they are facing in their lives.
The Emoji Fun Run/Walk is set to start at 10 am and there is no cover charge. The first 100 participants will receive a free badge. There will be prizes up for grabs on the day.

People are encouraged to dress up as their favourite emoji, wear t-shirts covered in emojis and funny hats.
The event will begin at the Kintsugi Wellness Centre at Mediclinic Newcastle. Be sure not to miss out on this fun-filled event and run with your emotions.
