In an operation on Tuesday, 3 June 2025, three individuals were apprehended, two illicit firearms recovered, and a vehicle implicated in multiple armed robberies seized.

The operation began when the Ithemba Security Tracing Team received information regarding an Opel Corsa bakkie, suspected of being en route to Newcastle and linked to a series of armed robberies.
According to reports, team members initiated surveillance on the N11, successfully identifying and trailing the suspect vehicle.
The pursuit involved a coordinated response from various law enforcement agencies. “Members of the SAPS Crime Prevention units, Amajuba District Crime fighters CCPA and local traffic joined in where the vehicle was brought to a halt. Upon inspection by VCIU Newcastle, two unlicensed firearms were found hidden in the engine compartment,” stated CCPA’s Imran Ghafoor, who participated in the operation.
Further investigation established a positive link between one of the recovered firearms and an armed robbery case in Daveton, Gauteng province. Additionally, information developed during the operation connected the suspects and their vehicle to an armed robbery in Nqutu, where a Mazda vehicle, a firearm, and cash were stolen from the victim.

Investigations are ongoing as authorities work to trace further stolen vehicles and firearms believed to have been taken by these suspects during their extensive spree of armed robberies committed across the Gauteng and KZN provinces.

Well done guys thankyou
Why do mothers raise their children to be robbers?
Maybe it’s the fact that many mothers in this country are having to raise men without the father.
PS: I come from a loving Christian home where we are brought up to love God and lovingly serve people no matter what we have or lack. And as a father to 4 boys we are sure to talk, pray and spend enough time with them building character, shaping behavior and being the biggest influence in their lives. Yes, we are privileged to not live in area that’s full of violence but this is the role of every parent : to bring up a good and decent human and member of society.
