The Newcastle police is in urgent pursuit of two fugitives, one of whom is considered exceptionally dangerous, and they are now turning to the public for critical assistance in this high-stakes manhunt.
Amajuba District SAPS Spokesperson, Constable Nonjabula Langa, has detailed that the first suspect, Muzokhona Buthelezi, known by the alias Bululu, is sought for his involvement in numerous murder cases dating as far back as 2021.
She underscored the critical need for immediate action, urging that anyone with knowledge of Buthelezi’s location should contact Detective Sergeant Kunene at 078 777 7383 without delay.
However, while the resolve to apprehend Buthelezi is strong, Constable Langa cautioned, “We are urging the community to not approach the suspect, as he is believed to be dangerous.”
Additionally, the Amajuba District SAPS is also on the trail of Nkosinathi Nene/Vilani, alias Nongoma, wanted for the theft of a motor vehicle which occurred on 9 March 2023, in Osizweni.
“The SAPS is seeking the assistance of the community to contact Detective Sergeant Kunene on 078 777 7383 with any information regarding his whereabouts,” stated Constable Langa.
As the SAPS seeks public cooperation to bring these individuals to justice, it is vital for residents to exercise extreme caution if they come into contact with either suspect and to avoid any vigilante actions.
