Vryheid: The day begins with some sunshine before giving way to cloudy conditions. Temperatures are expected to peak at 29°C, with scattered thunderstorms likely during the day. As the evening sets in, temperatures are forecast to cool down to 14°C.

Newcastle: A hot day is on the cards for Newcastle, with temperatures forecast to soar to 32°C. The UV Index remains dangerously high at 13, and residents are urged to avoid prolonged outdoor activities. Evening temperatures are predicted to drop to 17°C, with thunderstorms expected to develop late at night.

Ladysmith: A warm and cloudy day is on the cards, with temperatures climbing to 31°C. Evening temperatures will offer some relief, cooling to around 17°C.

Vryheid: A warm day is predicted, with temperatures reaching 29°C. Scattered thunderstorms are likely in the afternoon, followed by cooler evening temperatures dropping to 16°C.

Newcastle: Another extremely hot day awaits, with temperatures climbing to 33°C and the UV Index remaining dangerously high at 13. Evening temperatures will drop to 17°C, bringing a bit of respite.

Ladysmith: Sunny and cloudy conditions are expected, with temperatures reaching a sweltering 34°C. Residents are advised to stay hydrated and limit outdoor activities during the hottest parts of the day. The evening temperatures are forecast to drop to a more pleasant 16°C.

Vryheid: A partly sunny but warm day is forecast, with temperatures peaking at 31°C. The evening will bring cooler temperatures, dropping to 16°C.

Reflecting on this forecast, it is important to note that the South African Weather Services has issued a Level 2 Warning for severe thunderstorms across Newcastle, Ladysmith, and Vryheid during the course of Friday, 22 November 2024.
