Renegades Search and Rescue has shared that Nontuthuko was last seen on 3 August 2024, when she departed from Pietermaritzburg for Newcastle in search of employment.

Her mother accompanied Nontuthuko to the taxi station, providing comfort as she set off on what was meant to be a promising new chapter. Tragically, after that moment, her family lost all communication with the 34-year-old woman.

According to Renegades Search and Rescue, when Nontuthuko’s family tried to reach her on 4 August 2024, they discovered that her phone had been switched off, plunging them into a state of uncertainty and concern. Since that day, there has been no word from Nontuthuko, and her absence weighs heavily on her loved ones.

Now, with Nontuthuko missing for over two months, Dawn Gounden from Renegades Search and Rescue has made a heartfelt appeal to the community for assistance in locating her. “Her mother is distraught and is on an emotional rollercoaster,” Gounden explained, highlighting the family’s turmoil during this distressing time.

Therefore, she implores anyone who might have information regarding Nontuthuko’s whereabouts or any incidents that occurred on 3 August 2024 between Newcastle and Pietermaritzburg to come forward.
