Dr Nibe, a 35 year old specialist anaesthesiologist affiliated with Mediclinic Newcastle, vanished without a trace.

According to the Newcastle South African Police Service (SAPS), the doctor went missing on Monday afternoon, 11 September 2023, at approximately 5 pm.

“He was last seen by his wife, when he left the house to go withdraw cash from an ATM. He was wearing pyjamas at the time,” disclosed an official police source.

Subsequent accounts suggest that after departing his home, Dr Nibe was reportedly spotted at the Newcastle Spar located within Taxi City. The official police source confirmed that the doctor withdrew a substantial amount of cash before mysteriously vanishing from sight.

Newcastillian News reached out to Mediclinic Newcastle for a statement regarding Dr Nibe’s disappearance, but at this juncture, the medical facility was unable to provide any formal comment or information.

Following an extensive search, Steyn explained that emergency personnel were notified that the missing doctor was found, with an official police source pointing out that Dr Nibe’s wife notified the SAPS that he was currently in Johannesburg. Law enforcement is now taking steps to ensure the Doctor is safe and unharmed.
