Newcastle Mayor reaches out to less fortunate during roadshow

Newcastle Municipality‘s Mayor, Cllr Xolani Dube, has gone beyond his duties during his IDP/PMS/Budget roadshow by reaching out to 10 families in Madadeni. On Friday, May 5th, Cllr Dube handed over wheelchairs and title deeds to 10 beneficiaries at the Madadeni NATU Centre.

The municipality’s Communications Unit confirmed that this initiative is part of the Mayor’s ongoing efforts to improve the lives of residents, not just through service delivery, but also through offering social relief.

“This program will not end today; it is a continuous effort that will be executed in all zones of the municipality,” said Mayor Dube.

Residents have commended the Mayor’s efforts, with many expressing hope that other municipalities would follow his example in reaching out to those in need.
