After a frantic search, 14-year-old Thienus Martienus Rossouw has been found and safely returned to Newcastle.
Newcastillian News reported on Wednesday, 12 April 2023, that Thienus disappeared on Monday, 10 April 2023, after running away from Morester Children’s Home.

According to Renegades Search and Rescue Amajuba Coordinator Razia Cassim, Thienus was found in Dundee. This, she pointed out, was thanks to the Ladysmith and Dundee communities who provided the relevant authorities with the necessary information.
“He was brought back to Newcastle on Wednesday night,” said Cassim.
While Thienus is safe, Cassim extended a heartfelt thanks for ensuring the local teenager was brought safely back to Newcastle.
