The community of Newcastle is being asked for assistance in locating a missing 14-year-old boy, Thienus Martienus Rossouw. According to Renegades Search and Rescue Amajuba Coordinator Razia Cassim, Thienus disappeared on Monday, April 10, 2023, at approximately 6 pm.
Thienus was residing at Morester Children’s Home when he left without permission. Cassim reported that witnesses saw him leaving and informed them that he was heading to Dundee, while others claimed he was going to Volksrust.
Cassim stated that he might still be in Newcastle and urged anyone who had seen him to come forward.

Thienus’s father, Francois Rossouw, is urging anyone with information on his son’s whereabouts to come forward. Rossouw explained that Thienus had been sent to Morester Children’s Home to receive help after experiencing problems. However, he has been running away, but would always return within half a day. Rossouw is appealing to his son to return home.
“If anyone has seen Thienus Rossouw, they are urged to contact the following numbers: Francois Rossouw – 061 810 4036 and Renegades Search and Rescue Amajuba Coordinator Razia Cassim – 074 285 0234,” Cassim urged.
