Public Notice: Newcastle Police Station phone lines down, here is how you can contact them

As Newcastillians might have recently noticed, contacting the Newcastle Police Station has not proven futile with calls for help going unanswered.

According to Station Commander, Brigadier Leon Matthysen, the reason that residents cannot get hold of police is that there is currently a fault with the telephone line.

Brigadier Matthysen notes that while the issue is being dealt with, Newcastillians are urged to contact the Newcastle SAPS Radio Room on 082 418 0042 in the interim.
