Major collision at Blood River Crossing sees vehicle in flames

Craig Botha of KwaZulu Private Ambulance explains that the company responded to a major collision on the R34 at the Blood River Crossing at around 7 pm on Wednesday, 20 April 2022. 

 “When emergency services arrived, they found that two vehicles had been involved in a collision, resulting in one vehicle catching on fire.”

According to Botha, two people endured severe injury, while a third tragically passed away. “The patients were stabilised on the scene with advanced life support interventions and transported to hospital for further treatment.

Sadly, one occupant sustained fatal injuries and succumbed to their injuries before emergency services arrived.

The cause of the collision is not known, but authorities are currently investigating the matter.”
