On Thursday, October 14, 2021, the KwaZulu Private Ambulance Service was dispatched to help a dog hobbling on the N3 near Woodhouse Bridge in Pietermaritzburg.

Upon arrival, the team discovered a tired, injured Boerboel. The exhausted animal was wandering about with burn injuries on her feet from the hot road.

Thankfully, the kind-hearted paramedics treated the dog with the assistance of RTI before taking it to the SPCA in Woodhouse for further care.

“We are appealing to anyone who has lost a female Boerboel to please contact Woodhouse SPCA,” said the Private Ambulance Service.

Furthermore, the KwaZulu Private Ambulance Service urges pet owners to remember their furry pets at this time and the upcoming burning hot summer. “Keep your friends hydrated and cool.”

The Newcastillian – Online News commends the ambulance service for their gesture of kindness. In support of our four-legged family members, please care for and cherish your animals. They are your responsibility and deserve individual love-filled attention multiple times a day. They are not mats to be left at the front door uncared for and left to wilt in the elements.

If you know of ANYONE mistreating or hurting any animals, it is your duty as a human being to do something about it. You can either contact your local SPCA by Googling their number. Or click here to visit the SPCA website. Alternatively, you can visit the Anti-animal cruelty league’s website.
