Motorist lodges car in property's wall

A homeowner in Umfolozi Avenue, Ncandu Park, was left in a state of shock on Sunday morning, 11 April 2021. This, after a motorist crashed into his property, lodging the car into the home owner’s wall.

According to sources, the incident took place during the earlier hours of Sunday, before 7 am. While no injuries were reported, the driver allegedly fled the scene following the crash.

In a separate incident, one person died on Saturday, 10 April 2021, when a taxi’s wheel burst while travelling on the P483 (the road between Madadeni and Newcastle).

According to medical services on the scene, the incident took place at approximately 1.30 pm, when the vehicle overturned due to the said burst tyre. While one person succumbed to their injuries, fellow passengers sustained moderate to minor injuries and were transported to hospital for further treatment. Following the two incidents, motorists are encouraged to practice caution when driving.
