Chaos was unleashed in certain parts of Utrecht on Friday night, November 22, following an apparent tornado tearing through the area.
Reports claim that not only was the Department of Correctional Services Waterval Prison severely affected by the horrific weather conditions, but the residential areas as well.
Scores of homes were damaged or destroyed by the adverse weather conditions, with emergency personnel rushing to the area to attend to the injured.
Driving conditions are currently hampered with vehicles, trees and an array of other debris lay scattered following the storm.
