Oval Track racers put on a night of roaring good fun

The Oval Track was a flurry of activity on Saturday, April 13, with racing enthusiasts surrounding the track to cheer on their favourite racers.

The racing event was meant to take place on April 6, but due to poor weather conditions, it had to be postponed until this past Saturday. Thereby creating a vibrant energy with people yearning for their adrenaline needs to be fulfilled.

In the Go-Kart division, Lianie van Rooyen clinched first place with Thabo-Jan Ntjobokoane speeding into second place and Thali Ntjobokoane securing the third spot.

The win for the Rookie division goes to Stephan van der Merwe.

In the Development division, Mikey Maloney takes the win, with Siwakhile Ndaba and Cedric Stowe in second and third place respectively.

Hendrik van der Merwe dominated the 1600 Stockrods division, followed by Zaakira Khan in second place and Shaun Bezuidenhout in third position.

Wikie Bezuidenhout takes the win in the 1660 Challenge, with Craig Lindeque in second position and Faizel Cassim in third position.

In the 2.1 Litre division, Rivelle Rooplall took first position with Faizel Cassim and Shuakat Khan in second and third place respectively.

Hendrik van der Merwe continued his winning streak in the Hot Rod division, followed by Wilma Lindeque in second position and Rivelle Rooplall in third place.

The win for the Tin Top division goes to Henk van Rooyen.

Congratulations to all the winners, ensuring sportsmanship was the order of the night.
