With the holiday season easing in, the meaning of Christmas is becoming more and more prevalent. Now is the time to think of others and give to those in need.
However, it is also Wednesday, and we really need to get to the gym after work to get that six-pack ready for the summer holidays. If only there was a way to exercise and help someone at the same time. Well, there is…
It’s time to put on your running shoes and enjoy an evening of mid-week fitness. The Newcastle Harriers Club is hosting its Christmas Fun Run today, December 5.

The event will take place at 5.30pm at the Newcastle Harriers Club, corner of Drakensberg and Aquamarine Drive. Registration starts at 5 pm.
The entrance fee is R20 per person and avid runners can choose between entering the four-kilometre or eight-kilometre divisions. Coke, water and sweets will be served along the way.
While the Christmas Run will focus on an evening of fitness, there will also be a festive feel to it. Father Christmas will be attending the event and will be interacting with youngsters.
Be sure to bring your children along, so they can let Father Christmas know what they want this festive season.
Furthermore, all participants are encouraged to bring a soft toy to donate to the Newcastle Harriers Club. The toys will be distributed to less-fortunate children.
Aiming to spread festive cheer through running, be sure to participate in this evening’s event. By donating a soft toy, you can make a child’s Christmas a memorable one.
The Newcastle Harriers Club Christmas Run promises to be a fun-filled family event, combining the festive season and fitness. Don’t miss out on the fun and the opportunity to make a positive impact on a child’s life this December.
