The oSizweni police are hellbent on eradicating crime, pursuing the ends of justice in order to make the area a safer place to stay.
oSizweni Police are currently investigating a double murder case. The innocent lives of two Bangladesh nationals snatched away in a moment of violence.
On October 24, oSizweni SAPS were conducting crime prevention patrols at 2.30am in the morning in oSizweni. While going about their duties, the officials noticed a tuckshop’s burglar guard gate was open.
Suspicious, the police investigated and upon entering the premises, they found two dead bodies. Both victims, Mosharaf Hosain (33) and Limon Mi (25) had been stabbed.

Assisted by other units, the police officers immediately began investigating. The team following blood stains from the tuckshop into a nearby backroom. It was here they found two suspects attempting to hide away. Their clothes covered in blood.
The third suspect, an elderly woman who was the victims’ neighbour, was arrested shortly afterwards. Bloodstained clothes found in the washing machine. Stolen cash, 228 boxes of cigarettes, airtime vouchers and a knife suspected to be the murder weapon was recovered.
The three suspects are now in police custody, all three face charges of murder, robbery and defeating the ends of justice.
All three of the suspects appeared in Madadeni Magistrate’s Court on October 26. Their case is remanded and is subject to further investigations.
In a separate incident, the oSizweni Policing area and oSizweni Crime Prevention Unit joined forces to target a home in Section D, oSizweni. During the intelligence operation, the officers recovered 18 small parcels of Nyaope drugs, with an estimated street value of R2 000.
The suspect will appear in Madadeni Magistrate Court appeared in Madadeni Magistrate Court for possession of drugs.
