MYO to host 15th annual seven-a-side soccer tournament

Soccer enthusiasts are in for a treat this weekend, with the Muslim Youth Organisation (MYO) annual seven-a-side soccer tournament.

The event takes place tomorrow, marking the 15th anniversary of the soccer tournament. A staggering 48 teams hailing from Ermelo, Dundee, Volksrust, Estcourt, Newcastle and neighbouring districts will be taking part.

The teams will be made up for age categories 10, 12, 14, 16 and 18 years.

The main purpose of the tournament is not only to embrace the joy of soccer at its best, but also to bond youth from all walks of life, regardless of race or religion.

Set to take place at Paradise Sports Grounds, the MYO tournament is set to kick-off will be at 9am.

The tournament is, however, solely for males.
