Is the next Tiger Woods in St Dominics Newcastle?

St Dominics Newcastle is setting its sights on dominating the fairways during the Westville Boys High School Golf Festival.

Set to take place from April 24 to April 27, the festival will create a platform for up-and-coming golfers can get exposure.

 St Dominics Newcastle is entering five of its learners into the upcoming event, giving them the opportunity to showcase their talent.

Suhail Peer, Ethan Kruger, Tatum Griffiths, Ewan Scholtz, Jordan Barends and David Hartman ready for the first round of trials.

“This is the first time St Dominics Newcastle is entering a festival such as this,” explained Johan Jacobs, St Dominics Newcastle’s golf coach.

The school will enter five of its learners in the festival.

With 10 possible entrants, the first round of trials was held on Friday, January 26, at the Newcastle Golf Club.

“We will be holding trials on a weekly basis, as to select the competitors,” said Jacobs.

Enthusiastic learners teed off on Friday, vying for the points to secure them a position on the team.
