Brace yourselves for Cars at the Dam Motor Show

Motor vehicle enthusiasts are in for a treat, come January 20.

Glendee Yachting Club will be hosting Cars at the Dam Motor Show at Hattingspruit Dam.

The event will see a variety of cars, motorcycles and stationary engines being put on display.

Refreshments will be sold.

There will also be boat rides on the dam.

Entrance fee is R20 per person, while exhibitors and children under 12 can enter for free.

The Old Tooters Club will be supporting the event and prior to it beginning, members will be participating in a 71km Closed Odo Race.

Meeting at the Old Tooters Club at the old casino from 7.30am, the members will be closing their vehicle’s speedometers, before driving off to Hattingspruit for the motor show.

“The first car will leave at 8am, with a car leaving every two minutes afterwards,” said Boet Buys from the Old Tooters Club.

Those interested in vintage cars can visit the Old Tooters Club on the morning, watching the cars take off.
