Newcastle residents are being called upon to assist in locating three community members who have gone missing.

Belinda Ellor of the Newcastle Community Policing Forum explained that law enforcement is actively searching for Raymond du Plessis, last observed at 1:00 AM on Thursday, 12 June 2025, in Amajuba Park.

The 33-year-old has not been seen or heard from since this time. At his disappearance, he was wearing a brown jacket, blue jeans, and takkies.
In addition, authorities are seeking Mikhail Marcell Howard, who was last sighted on Thursday, 12 June 2025, at 8:15 AM at Victoria Home, 11 Jacaranda Street in Reiger Park, Johannesburg.

At the time, the Newcastle resident was dressed in grey tracksuit pants, a blue fleece top, and black sneakers. Ellor further noted that when Howard was last seen, he was also carrying a Stormers sports bag and a carry-on suitcase.
Furthermore, officials are conducting a search for Aroni Bhambatha, last seen on Monday, 9 June 2025, in Section 6, Madadeni. There has been no subsequent contact or sighting of him.

At the time of his disappearance, Bhambatha was reportedly wearing grey tracksuit pants and a navy blue t-shirt.
