While embedding itself in Newcastle, Evotel brought an energetic atmosphere to Ferrum High School on Thursday, 29 February 2024. The Evotel team engaged with Grade 11 and 12 students, introducing them to exciting career paths in the digital world.
“We are reintroducing Evotel to schools, showcasing that we are a fibre provider actively involved in the community and introducing school learners to possible career opportunities. The learners at Ferrum asked a lot of good questions, showing they take their education seriously and are concerned about their future,” explained Nadia Smith, Marketing Manager for Evotel.
Highlighting the company’s commitment, Smith pointed out that Evotel offers several solutions beneficial to the Newcastle education sector. This includes supporting technical solutions, providing sponsorships for sporting events, and contributing to community initiatives that schools may be involved in.
Additionally, on Friday, 1 March 2024, the Evotel team extended its commitment to the town’s children by reaching out to Home Meah. As Newcastle is aware, Home Meah is a facility that cares for infants without families, relying heavily on the support of residents and businesses. As a result, Evotel made a substantial donation of toiletries and groceries to Home Meah, bringing joy to the home’s staff.
“For Evotel, the community is everything because, without the community, Evotel is nothing. We want Newcastle to know that they can always reach out to us, and we will assist,” emphasised Smith, stressing that service delivery and communication are of the utmost importance to the company.

“It took a lot of hard work, but for Evotel, trust is everything. If there is no trust, especially in smaller communities, people will not do business with us, and the company’s name will be ruined. We have built brand loyalty and are focussed on developing this achievement,” she emphasised.
As the company further integrates into Newcastle, Evotel will host its first Town Hall Day for the year on 16 March 2024 at Hutten Park Primary School. The day promises to focus entirely on introducing the community to Evotel’s packages and services while creating a fun-filled family day experience for community members.
On the day, Evotel will have teams available for locals to engage with as well as various contractors and ISPs regarding questions and complaints from the community. Jointly, on the day, teams will be ready to go out on the spot to do installations or repair any issues brought forward by residents.
“As we know there will be parents on the day, there will be entertainment and snacks available for children, allowing parents to learn more about Evotel while their children have an enjoyable day,” said Smith.
