Wakkerstroom Police are anxiously seeking assistance from community members in locating 19-year-old Tevin Wanya Fredrick Filand.
With the small town situated a stone’s throw away from both Newcastle and Utrecht, KZN, police spokesperson Brigadier Selvy Mohlala explained that Tevin was last seen by his father on Thursday, 29 December 2022 before leaving for work at around 4 pm.
“On Friday, 30 December 2022, it is said that his father returned home at around 6 pm, but did not find Tevin at home. A search for him ensued but was without any success. That was when his father decided to report the matter to the Wakkestroom Police Station,” said Brigadier Mohlala.
Police are now urging anyone who might know Tevin’s whereabouts to urgently contact Detective Warrant Officer Johan Maritz at 082 579 0493.
