When it comes to charitable deeds, very few service organisations can compete with the Rotary Club of Newcastle, Majuba D9370.
From organising wheelchairs for the less fortunate to supporting feeding schemes and children’s homes, the Rotary Club constantly seeks to alleviate the plight of those in need.
However, in order to help the destitute, the Rotary Club often looks at the community to support them through various fund-raising initiatives. One such fundraiser is the organisation’s annual Grand Golf Competition.
Set to take place on October 12 at Newcastle Golf Club, the seventh annual golf day is sure to see a social atmosphere prevail in the pursuit of a worthy cause.
Tee-off time is at 10am, with the format being that of IPS.
The green fees are R250 per golfer, which includes a competition fee; meal and entre to the hole in one competition. The Hole in one competition is where the first golfer to get a hole in one at hole 16, has a chance to win R50 000. A free goodie bag will also be given to all participants.
With the proceeds of the day going towards charity, uniting people together for the good of the community, participants also stand a chance to win big during the event.

The first three prizes are: A two-night weekday stay for four people at Champagnes Sports Resort, a two-night weekend stay at Cayley Lodge and half a lamb.
With the day promising one to be filled with laughter, family-fun and fantastic prizes to be won, be sure to book your spot today.
