Driving through town on a Friday afternoon, a motorist’s mind wanders. The weekend is finally here and there is so much to do. As he plans his weekend schedule, he stops at a traffic light.
He suddenly notices a movement to his right. As he looks, he finds himself staring down the barrel of a gun. A man screams at him, demanding that he gets out of the vehicle. Hijackings are a terrifying crime that many motorists dread happening to them. A crime of opportunity and violence.
On Friday, July 5, a man was arrested for hijacking a Quantum Minibus in Dundee.

Following the hijacking of the vehicle, the victim immediately contacted the SAPS. The Dundee police then activated their Kingsley SAPS counterparts, who reacted within minutes.
They recovered both the minibus and arrested the suspect. Upon arresting the suspect, the SAPS discovered the firearm which the suspect used was a toy gun with an empty magazine.

Well done to the Kingsley SAPS for the quick response and arrest.
