Roaring engines filled the night sky on Saturday, March 2, as racers geared up for a night of adrenaline fuelled racing at the Newcastle Oval Track.

With spectators gathering around the track, cheering on their favourite racers, the monthly racing event proved to be highly entertaining.

Speeding into first place in the Go-Kart division is Lianie van Rooyen. Stephan van der Merwe clinched first place in the Rookie division.

In the Development division, Cedric Stowe takes first place, followed by Marcus Beeslaar and Tasneem Cassim in second and third place respectively.

Hendrik van der Merwe takes the win in the 1600 stockrods division, with Junaid Docrat in second position and Zaakira Khan in third place.

The win for the 1660 division goes to Tiaan Buys, with Wikie Bezuidenhout in second place and Zane Maartens in third spot.

In the 2.1 litre division, Dewald Botha came in first place, while Shaukat Khan and Wessel Peens took second and third place respectively.

Willie Erasmus takes the win in the Hot Rods division, with Neels Koen in second place and Wessel Peens in third position.

Henk van Rooyen took the win in the Tin Top division.

Phil Gericke takes victory in the V8 division with Adriaan van der Colff in second spot.

In the Quad division, Andre van der Merwe clinched the win, with Cloubous Bezuidenhout and Muhammed Docrat in second and third place respectively.

Congratulations to all the racers who dominated the track on Saturday night.
