Phoenix fire extinguishes Paradise Cricket Club

The weekly League continued on Tuesday night, February 19, at Paradise Sports Grounds, with Phoenix Cricket Club taking on Paradise Cricket Club.

Batting first, Paradise managed a score of 106 runs for the loss of three wickets, in a game that saw the overs being cut down to 20 overs due to bad light.

Phoenix then took to the pitch, determined to conquer Paradise. Henri Linde and Graham Sharp set the pace with a brilliant partnership. The two batsmen securing a 59 run opening partnership.

With Henri and Graham setting Phoenix up for a brilliant start, the team was able to reach their target, with four balls to spare. The team walking off victorious.

Phoenix has now secured a slot in the upcoming semi-finals.

Phoenix and Paradise extend a special thanks to Quintin Griffiths for standing in as umpire.
