Newcastle police responded to a grisly scene on Tuesday afternoon, February 19, at the Newcastle Municipal Dumpsite.
A decomposing body was found among the waste. At present, the cause of death and identity of the deceased is unknown.
A police source on scene explains further investigations are underway to determine the deceased’s gender, age and cause of death.
Furthermore, it cannot be divulged how long the body has been laying in the dumpsite.
