KZN farmworker finds decomposing body of woman

A flourish of love and romance filled the air, as couples celebrated Valentine’s Day. But for one farm worker, this past February 14th was anything but romantic.

A farm worker from a farm on the KwaZulu-Natal North Coast stumbled on the decomposing, partially naked body of a woman in sangoma attire.

Colonel Thembeka Mbele, police spokesperson, explains the woman was discovered at Ncolosi Farm, in the Tongaat area.

He says it is speculated she was strangled. Her head was wrapped with sangoma attire, while wearing a sangoma necklace and boots.

The motive for her murder is still unclear. With a murder case now open, Umhlali police are now appealing to anyone with information to come forward.
