When it comes to fitness, one tends to mainly think of athletes proving their prowess on the sports field or in the gym. However, on November 10, fitness enjoyed getting its feet wet.

Newcastle business, The Swim Studio participated in the Worldwide Aquathon. This is a fantastic event dedicated to both water safety awareness and swimming fitness.

Saturday marked the sixth Worldwide Aquathon, with it being Swim Studio’s third consecutive year hosting the event, right here in Newcastle.

Starting at 9 am and ending at 12 pm, the event sees participants enjoying three hours in the water. The day ended with a prize giving and a nutritious lunch, concluding a healthy morning.

Impressively, the Worldwide Aquathon takes place in 79 countries. The event also has a charitable side to it. Proceeds raised at the event, going to the Newcastle SPCA.

Undergoing a series of intense aquatic exercises under the caring guidance of studio owner, Camille Honiball, the participants thoroughly enjoyed the memorable day. Their laughter filling the Swim Studio premises, with a festive spirit.

Discovery Vitality and local businesses sponsored prizes and gifts to the event, ensuring swimmers were rewarded for their efforts.
