The Vulintaba Extreme is no ordinary cycling challenge. Taking place over two days, the Cycling South Africa approved event will draw scores of people seeking glory for victory.

Vulintaba Extreme begins on March 31 with the Mountain Bike challenge.

The category is divided into three divisions: 75km, 55km and 17km.

This will be followed by a Road Race on April 1, which will also be divided into three challenging categories. Those keen in taking part in the road race, can choose from the 20km, 60km or the beastly, 100km.

The top cyclists will be handsomely rewarded.  With the 100km Road Race and the 75km Mountain Bike race, the first-place winners are looking at prize money to the value of an impressive R15 000.

Second place winners can expect R10 000, while third place winners in the 100km and 75km divisions can expect R7 500. This means that the incentive to push yourself to the extreme, is most certainly there.
