The community of Osizweni is being called upon to assist in locating a missing local prison warder, Darlington Paseka Sehloho.

Sehloho, 52 years old, disappeared on 31 March 2023 and was last seen between 8 am and 12 pm in the Inverness Farm area of Osizweni.

Lizzy Arumugam, the spokesperson for the Newcastle SAPS, revealed that Sehloho left his residence in the Inverness Farm area, driving a white NP 200 Nissan Bakkie. The vehicle’s registration number is KHD494 NW.

Arumugam added, “Furthermore, the missing individual was employed as a prison warder at Ekuseni Correctional Service Centre in Newcastle, serving as a Co-ordinator at Operational Support.”

Sehloho’s supervisor, Emile Janse Van Ransburg, reported him missing, expressing concern over his unexplained absence.

It is worth noting that Sehloho was scheduled to appear in the High Court in Durban on 5 April 2023.

“However, he failed to appear at the High Court as scheduled,” Arumugam stated.

As Sehloho’s whereabouts remain unknown, the Osizweni SAPS appeals to anyone with information to come forward and contact the police immediately.
