In recent years throughout Newcastle, the dramatic improvements to homes, now businesses on Victoria Road have rapidly shifted the geographical business layout from a more Mall or CBD base to that of said properties in the bustling road.
As a well-known name and brand within the Newcastle community, Davida van der Merwe Optometrist seized the opportunity to further better the optometry’s Omni-offerings and client experience by relocating to 30 Victoria Road, right in the heart of this trending business hub.
Highlighting the core fundamentals of the practice which customers can still expect in the new premises, Davida states that she and the team assure customers, their goal is “To continue providing the same friendly, kind, professional eye care services in our beautiful new home.”
Having moved away from its previous location at Amajuba Mall, the new practice stands in such unique fashion, and according to Davida, upon entering there is a sense of “Tranquillity; where our new and current patients can feel like they are at home and part of the family.”
When taking a step inside, what can Newcastillians expect? “Our practice is a Seiko Vision Specialist practice, with lenses driven by cutting edge technology and innovation. Our highly-trained staff will assist you in selecting the lenses and frame best suited to your needs and looks. All in keeping with our motto – “To enhance the way you see the world,” says Davida.
Moreover, and when focussing on the youth—the optometry provides full Dyslexia Assessments (for ages 9 and up), and now, Junior Dyslexia Assessments for children aged 7-8.
As Davida van der Merwe Optometrist embarks on a new adventure in their new premise, Davida shares a unique, heartfelt message from herself and the team, “Our practice is celebrating its 30-year birthday this year. We would like to thank all our loyal clients who continue to support our business. We are grateful that we could make the move to 30 Victoria in our 30th year in 2020 (the year of the optometrist, referring to 20/20 – perfect vision). 2020 taught us all to stand together. We hope to still be enhancing the way you see the world for many more years to come.”
In closing, to those who assisted in moving and setting up the new practice, Davida says, “Thank you to all the Fairies who walked every step of this move with me, you are just the best team anyone could ask for. To all the family and friends who helped us move and settle into our new practice, from the concept of moving the practice, to knocking out floor tiles, carrying furniture, boxes and planting trees, cutting grass, and sending beautiful flowers and plants, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.”
