A recent yet rather bothersome fact which has come to light has seen people within the Newcastle community, spreading unpleasant and completely incorrect rumours regarding Dr Josh Matambo, a renowned Obstetrician and Gynaecologist in the medical sector.
In a media statement issued by the private hospital, Mediclinic Newcastle stated it “is aware of social media postings regarding the current health of Dr Josh Matambo, a respected member of the Mediclinic Newcastle community and current Chairman of the Board of Directors.
We can confirm that Dr Matambo is currently receiving the best possible medical care.
While we appreciate the concern shown by the Newcastle and surrounding communities, we would kindly ask that Dr Matambo and his family’s privacy be respected during this time and that all unsubstantiated rumours be ignored.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Dr Matambo during his time of recuperation, and we invite our community to join us in wishing Dr Matambo well.”
