Moodie Street, Pioneer Park, was a hive of activity on Sunday, February 16, with the Newcastle K9 Unit and Newcastle Crime Prevention Unit sniffing out R150 000 worth of drugs.
Newcastle SAPS spokesperson, Captain Jabulani Ncube explains the arrest comes after an intelligence-driven operation by the two units.
“Newcastle K9 members, Sergeant Thusi and Constable Nkabinde, along with Newcastle Crime Prevention members arrested a 45-year-old man for illegally dealing in drugs.”

The man was found with 65 parcels of cocaine, three blocks of rock and two large parcels of CAT, all of which have an estimated street value of R150 000.
Well done to the officers involved in the bust.
