The weekend is upon us and the time has finally arrived for you to kick back and unwind after a long week at work.

Drakensberg Primary School’s Valentine’s Day
February 14 – With couples preparing to enjoy an evening of romance with their loved ones, do not miss out on Drakensberg Primary’s Valentine’s dance.
The event will take place in the school’s hall and will begin at 6pm this evening, February 14, with tickets available at R50 per person.
Children under the age of seven years will be able to enter for free. Tickets for children between the ages of seven and 13 will be sold at R20 per child.
With the dance acting as a fundraiser for the school, be sure to bring your picnic basket, filled with your favourite foods and drinks and prepared for a fun-filled evening.
Wakkerstroom Open Gardens and Rose Show
February 15 to February 16 – For those who enjoy the outdoors and gardening, this is one event not to miss out.
Tickets for the Wakkerstroom Open Gardens and Rose Show will be on sale at the Red Barm, on the R543 (next to the Garret Restaurant) from 8am on February 15. Tickets are priced at R40 per person.
Garden times will be from 9am until 5pm, on both Saturday and Sunday.
There will also be a rose show/display at the Red Barn, and an of talks at the Eikenhof/the Barn Eatery. Entrance to both is free.
At 11am, Lizelle Faedda will be doing a talk on Waterwise gardening.
Those who want to add a touch of beauty to their own gardens, can purchase plants and rose during the course of the day.
CANSA approved hats by Emthunzini Hats will be available on the day, to ensure guests are protected from the sun.
