Reaching out to those in need, the Al-Imdaad Foundation is truly making a significant impact on the lives of scores of people.
The Al-Imdaad Foundation is a non-profit humanitarian aid relief organisation, registered and based in South Africa. It focuses on providing humanitarian services in crisis and non-crisis situations to orphans, widows and the destitute, irrespective of race, religion, culture, creed and geographical location.
The Al-Imdaad Foundation recently supported the handover of a house in the Willowfontein area, Pietermaritzburg, by providing kitchen furniture.
Members of Al-Imdaad were accompanied by Turkish volunteers of the Alliance of International doctors, who are currently in South Africa performing cataract surgeries. These surgeries are done in association with Al-Imdaad, to help alleviate the large number of people awaiting surgery at public facilities throughout KZN.
The house, which was built collectively by the community, was handed over to a family by the national minister of health, Dr Zweli Mkhize.
The family expressed immense gratitude to all the parties involved.
