Rapist sentenced to three life terms and 305 years imprisonment

The pursuit of justice has finally come to an end for 13 women. The rapist who snatched their innocence away, now facing three life terms and 305 years imprisonment.

 Facing 13 charges, which include rape, murder and robbery, Sello November was recently convicted in the Durban High Court for his crimes.

KwaZulu-Natal spokesperson, Brigadier Jay Naicker explains November terrorised the communities of KwaMashu and Avoca Hills from 2011 until 2013. From there, he moved onto Gauteng to continue his reign of terror.

Targeting women and school children walking in the early hours of the morning, November would pretend to be jogging, when he would suddenly grab his victims from behind.

Brigadier Naicker explains that November would then choke and rape his victims before robbing them of their valuables.

His crime spree came to an end when Durban Central arrested him in 2018. Following his arrest, he was positively linked through DNA, as well as through identification parades.

During his crime spree, November raped two 12-year-old girls from KwaMashu and a 31-year-old woman, who was killed during his vicious attack.

For the robbery of the minors, he received 15 years imprisonment. He is also facing life imprisonment for raping the two girls.

He is also facing life imprisonment for the woman he murdered. As well as 10 years imprisonment for raping her and an additional 15 years imprisonment for robbery.

For the other 10 additional cases, November was sentenced to 10 years imprisonment for each rape and 15 years imprisonment for each other robberies.

 Apparently November will return to Gauteng, where he is will face charges for three cases of rape, robbery and murder.
