Cousins harnesses spiritual world to help others
The supernatural world captivates one’s imagination, with Hollywood movies portraying sinister occurrences within the magical world.
But how much truth can be found in movies and horror novels? Are energy healers and clairvoyants harnessing the dark forces as some believe? It seems that storytellers have it wrong, with two cousins breaking the cast which Hollywood has created.
Peter Coleman and Gary Coppard are dedicated to helping those in need, crossing over into the spiritual world to heal people.

Gary does crossover work, communicating with spirits. “I consider myself a Christian, seeing my ability as a gift from God. The way I see it is I can see things others can’t.”
But conversing with the spirits of the deceased isn’t Gary’s only ability. He can connect with the spirits of living people.
“I have never approached people to help them, instead, spirits have contacted me. This includes living people who want to connect with someone they know who is still alive.”
The reason spirits approached Gary for help was rather simple, Peter explained. “Spirits usually know who can communicate with them. Often, they will travel hundreds of kilometres to find a person who can talk to them.”
Peter is a spiritual healer. “I use tarot cards as a medium to counsel people. I look at people, where they’ve been, where they’re going and their attitudes to help.”
While identifying as a Buddhist, Peter also has strong Wiccan beliefs. Using both belief systems in his day to day life, Peter can help the distressed in an unconventional way. “With Buddhism, you are looking at lifetimes, fixing relationships with others and yourself.”
Peter explained that through Wicca, he looked at nature, one’s environment, and respecting all life. Using the two belief systems and his natural psychic ability, Peter is often able to harness an energy to help people. “As an energy healer, I can restore natural bio energies. I can also help with medical conditions.”
While both Gary and Peter are dedicated to uplifting people and restoring positive energy, they claim people like them were often met with cynicism. “There are a lot of misconceptions, as there are not many people like us,” Peter said.
People have misconceptions about psychics, due to the movies and because there are not a lot of people like them. “People need something to compare others to. Because there are not a lot of psychics, how do people compare us,” Peter continued.
