Are you willing to walk your dog for charity?

Registration for this heartwarming event will start at 8.30am. The Fun Dog Walk will cost a minimum of a R20 donation and is divided into a one-kilometre division and a two-kilometre division. Starting at 10 am, the event will see you and your four-legged friend enjoying a relaxing morning walk together, all for a great cause.

The walk will be followed with the glamorous and adorable Fun Dog Show at 11.30 am, which will also only cost a minimum of a R20 donation. Prizes will be up for grabs, making the event a memorable one.

But why support the Newcastle Lions Club on the day?

“We are busy with a project to help the SPCA revamp their boarding shelters. These shelters will then help generate an extra income for the SPCA,” explains Lions president, Zarina Luck.

As the SPCA relies largely on the community’s support, Luck emphasises that by supporting the initiative, the community can make a positive difference.

“Every town needs an SPCA and after seeing how the organisation was running at a loss, they really need the help. We at Newcastle Lions Club thought this would be an ideal way to assist the SPCA, so they would not have to ask for money the whole time,” Luck continued.

Be sure to support the initiative and assist the Lions in helping the SPCA. And we will see you at the event.
