A 14-year-old girl has gone missing, her mother and police frantically searching for her.
Detective Captain Nagesh Moothilal of the Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences (FCS) Unit, explains Mizlizeka Khanyile went missing on Wednesday, September 5.

“She goes to a boarding school in Utrecht. The day prior to her running away, she was reprimanded at school. While attending class the next day, she never returned to the hostel.”
Allegedly, she went to a boyfriend’s house in White City, Utrecht, that night. “When she heard her mother and the police were coming, she ran away.”

She was last seen wearing a grey dress, navy jacket and Adidas takkies which are blue, white and red in colour.
Investigating Officer Sergeant Khoza says Mizlizeka is 1.4 metres tall, fair in complexion, has short black hair and is big built.
Fearing for her safety, the police are investigating the matter. They hope to recover her as soon as possible, to reunite her with her distraught mother.
