An urgent search is currently underway for 16-year-old Shaibu Rajab, who went missing on Tuesday afternoon, 25 March 2025.
According to Belinda Ellor from the Newcastle CPF, Shaibu was last seen on Tuesday afternoon at approximately 4:15pm on Finnemore Street, Paradise, where he allegedly fell into the river running past the street.
At the time, he was wearing his Lincoln Heights School uniform, which consisted of a white shirt and grey pants.
Law enforcement, Crime Fighting Task Team (CCPA), and emergency personnel have been searching for the teenager since Tuesday, continuing their search in the river on Wednesday, 26 March 2025.
To date, Shaibu Rajab has not been found. However, as the search continues, residents can contact the following numbers if they have seen the teen or have any information that could assist.
